Syntax Communication is pleased to announce that for the year concluding July 1, 2008, the company marked its highest-recorded media placement total in its history. School districts alone accounted for more than 4,000 placements in local and regional media outlets, with hundreds more for other Syntax clients. “It’s a testament to the relentless advocacy we provide on behalf of our clients, and the overall strength of our media relationships,” said Deirdre Gilligan, Senior Manager of Public Relations and Special Projects for Syntax. “The hard work of our account managers, executives, and assistants has consistently raised the profile of our clients in their media outlets.” Syntax maintains a close working relationship with regional and local media on a daily basis. This includes Long Island media such as News 12 Long Island, TV 55, Long Island News Tonight, Newsday, Long Island Business News and hyper-local newspapers such as Neighbor Newspapers, Anton Newspaper Group and the Times Beacon Record. Our contacts extend further with networks such as WCBS, WNBC and WABC, as well as The New York Times and the Daily News. The strong relationships with media representatives helped Syntax secure front cover stories, features, interviews and photo placements for our clientele. Syntax was also able to offer several of our clients the opportunity to be guests during a ‘live’ taping at the CBS Early Morning Show, which enabled students to receive a tour of the studio and an opportunity to meet on-air talent, providing them with an educational experience in television production.
